Statue Destroyed Twice by Weathermen |
We taxpayers had to pay to repair and restore the buildings and works of art that these clowns damaged or destroyed.
Ayers and Dorhne are wealthy, publishing books, lucrative careers in academia, and likely substantial inheritances from their wealthy parents.
No double they will soon do the right thing and compensate we the people. It could happen any time now.

In 1889 in memory of the policemen killed in the violence of 1886 May night, a commemorative nine-foot bronze statue of a Chicago policeman by sculptor Johannes Gelert was erected in the middle of Haymarket Square with private funds raised by the Union League Club of Chicago.
On October 6, 1969, shortly before the "Days of Rage" protests, the statue was destroyed when a bomb was placed between its legs. Weatherman took credit for the blast, which broke nearly 100 windows in the neighborhood and scattered pieces of the statue onto the Kennedy Expressway below. The statue was rebuilt and unveiled on May 4, 1970 then blown up again by Weathermen on October 6, 1970.
